Everton Football Club

Everton Football Club is one of the most storied clubs in England. The club was founded in 1878 in Liverpool and was one of the founder members of the Football League in 1888. Only Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal have won more League titles than Everton and the haul of five FA Cups is also among the best in the country.

Everton FC's youth development program is one of the most successful in the Premiership. The Everton Academy (the youth training program) in Liverpool has produced $92,000,000 of soccer talent over eight years. The most famous product of the Everton Academy is Wayne Rooney, who was recently sold to Manchester United for a transfer fee of approximately $40,000,000. The club is about to move into a state of the art training facility on 65 acres in Liverpool, England and is developing an International Academy, opening 2008, that will offer accommodation and training in "The Everton Way" to players from all over the world.
